• Winter: Sharp drops, sometimes 3–4°C. Memory foam comfort is welcome but you want it over a denser core that doesn't conduct cold up to the body.
• Pollution + dust: Closed windows for months at a time. Use a tightly woven, washable mattress protector. Wash bedding more often than you would elsewhere.
• Apartment living: Most Delhi buyers are in 2-3 BHK apartments with smaller bedrooms. 5–6 inch thicknesses cover most needs; 8 inch only if your master is bigger than 12×10.
